The vatican had been closed the day before and whenever that happens it is open the following day for free. Thankfully we got there early and the line moved relatively quickly. A Taste of Holiday at Home. I took a cooking class in Bali when I was there in September. I love to cook, I love food, and I loved Bali. It like seemed a good way to spend three hours. As it turns out, I also really love Balinese food. The prominent use of lime and ginger coupled with the sweetness of palm sugar, the subtle tanginess of tamarind, and just enough heat to make you sweat hit all my foodie sweet spots. The cooking class was one of the highlights of my trip.
Monday, July 20, 2015. The 2 and a half hour ferry ride felt long, with 5 kids ready for a nap and ready to run, and little space for them to play without ending up overboard. But as parents determined to get to the island, the Safinos and Emmet had some beers and we made it though with endless stroller rides around the deck and lots of snacks. During the golf outing, Abbey, Emily and I took the kids to the Aquarium, which was small, but exciting for the kids to see, nonetheless.
